Festival Accessibility & Services

Visitor/Vendor Parking & Shuttle
Visitors: We are happy to be able to provide free parking and shuttle services to the festival grounds from our visitor parking lots at the Blue Ridge Farmers Market and at Blue Ridge Middle School. Free shuttle service from visitor lots will be available during the festival for all patrons. Additional parking without shuttle service is available at the Trackside Station parking garage, accessible from West First Street. 
 

Vendors:  In order to provide ample parking for visitors to the festival, we request that all vendors and exhibitors park in the Farmer’s Market lot next to the Swan Drive-In Theater, located on East Summit Street, and at Blue Ridge Elementary School, located on East Highland Street. The parking areas will be clearly marked. Free shuttle service from vendor and visitor lots will be available on Saturday and Sunday. Pickup locations will be clearly marked. Questions? ADA Accessible Parking
Please note if ADA accessible parking is required, the City of Blue Ridge and Arts in the Park requires an ADA placard or license plate for accessible parking.  For parking information, please contact the City of Blue Ridge at (706) 632-2091 for downtown parking locations or Arts in the Park at (706) 632-2144.  It is against the law to park in an accessible parking space without the required credentials or to fraudulently use credentials in order to gain access to Accessible Parking. 

ADA Accessible Restrooms & Entrances
Arts in the Park provides ADA accessible portable restrooms within the venue as well as access to the the City of Blue Ridge Downtown City Park Public Restrooms.  Please review the Arts in the Park festival map for all restroom locations. 

All ADA accessible entrances will be clearly identified both on the festival map and visible accessible signs at each accessible entrance.  If you are unable to locate these entrances, restrooms, or other services, please ask an event staff to assist you in locating these areas. 


Wheelchairs and Electric Scooters
Please note that while the festival allows and reasonably accommodates wheelchairs and electric scooters, our event is located at an outdoor venue that has varying terrain, including grassy, uneven, and possibly muddy surfaces. To request assistance, please visit any entrance gate or official hospitality pavilion listed on the festival map. Our event staff can provide assistance if needed.  Patron and guest motorcycles, golf carts, and four wheelers are not allowed within the festival area.  We do not provide wheelchair or mobility equipment rentals.

Service Animals
Arts in the Park welcomes and supports the rights and attendance of all persons with disabilities that rely on the special skills of a trained service animal.

Patrons with service animals, please note these policies:
  • We reserve the right to remove and/or refuse access to any service animal if that animal is deemed to be a health or safety threat to festival patrons, staff, or other service animals, or is found in violation of the festival policies.
  • Service animals must be accompanied by the handler, be under the control and supervision of their handler at all times.
  • Service animals are not permitted to be left unattended under any circumstances.
  • Handlers are required to be prepared for, and clean-up after, their service animals at all times.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES
First Aid

We have First Aid available within our festival venue. Professional medical staff can help you with your medical needs at the indicated location on the Arts in the Park festival map.  If there is a medical emergency within the festival grounds, please contact 911 and report the location and/or nearest booth#.  Please also report the emergency to the nearest gate or event staff member for assistance.  The Art Center's festival emergency and main office and information contact number is (706) 632-2144, extension 0.  

ATMs & Concessions

ATMs and concessions are accessible and indicated on the festival map. If assistance is required, please confer with a event staff member.
